Edward R. Martin is a Partner of the firm and concentrates in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration and taxation. Mr. Martin advises clients, typically individuals and fiduciaries, on estate administration matters including probate of wills, settling of estates, estate and gift tax issues and individual and fiduciary income tax matters. Through his estate planning and administration for clients, Mr. Martin has established and currently administers private foundations and public supporting organizations that qualify as 501(c) 3 organizations which are exempt from income taxation. Mr. Martin represents clients in connection with estate tax audits and will contest cases. Mr. Martin graduated from the College of Liberal Arts at Boston University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree, cum laude; Boston University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor (JD); and Boston University Graduate Tax Program where he received his Masters in Taxation (LLM). Mr. Martin is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.
